American Treasures

The treasures of this world
Diamonds, silver and gold
Mean all the world to some I know
At least that’s what I’m told
Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln
And her Founding Fathers of long ago
They’re the diamonds of her history
They’re the diamonds of her soul
Her constitution is a pure as silver
And it always seems to shine
Through all its’ trials and tribulations
It has eloquently stood the test of time
Our love for her, precious and true
Is her ever-yielding vein of gold
And the labor of love we have given her
Is one of the greatest stories ever told
I know I’ll never be poor
Because if I may be so bold
America means so much more to me
Than diamonds, silver or gold
